Well after getting off to such an early start, the day could only get better.... Couldn't it?

I thought after working so hard for the last week we would have a bit of a relax today.

Nothing too strenuous let’s make the Trebuchet we got from the charity shop for £3!!
We could incorporate it with our history project on the middle Ages....

Build this 13th Century war machine it said on the box. Build a working scale model of Warwolf Edward 1's awesome Siege Machine!  Ammunition included......

... I have been looking forward to building this for days after lugging the heavy box home, I even asked the man in the shop if all the pieces were there, he said there would be a label if not and like a fool I didn't check.

We cleared a space opened the box and............

Found it was full of Lego
In fact enough Lego to build a McLaren Mercedes, all 260 pieces, even the cat looked confused....  (Headache starting)

While the girls were attempting to build it (cough)

I was fixing this ancient computer (Headache banging away) Took me a couple of hours but got the old girl firing again Phew!

This was the finished result of the Mercedes:

This is what it should have looked like:

By now I have the new carpet being laid in the hall, (earplug still in place) drilling going right through me.......

The girls were getting tetchy, so I suggested they had some imaginative play and pulled out a box of bits, that kept them amused for at least half an hour.

Even Steve looked bored.....

Anyway dinner is now done and soon it will be bedtime for bat ears then I can take my ear plug out and relax, when I say relax I mean ....
I still have a pile of Laminating, 2 competitions, and a spelling test to sort out before tomorrow.

Piece of cake this Home Ed lark ;)
